Reopening

The new Phi Clothing Store is now open again.  I tried making it work with the HUD offering lots of choices, but people found it too complicated.  So I'm going back to the old sale mechanism, by offering a 8 outfits, 8 fabric/colour choices for less.

Reopening Delayed

I am working hard to reopen the store, but this is more work than I thought.  It's because I'm redoing all the textures and opening with 8 designs instead of 4 ... yowza.

Texture Mapping v10

Yup, this is a significant improvement in texture mapping quality:  On the left is v8 and v10 on the right.  v8 is a vast improvement over v2 which is what I used in the previous store.  But v8 had problems with the alignment of textures.

v10 is what I'll be using when the store opens, hopefully tomorrow.

Grand Opening ... but with changes

As you can tell from the picture below, I have been working on revisions to the mapping software and process.  Now in version 6, the new software creates a smoother texture mapping result.  The image below is a test dress using this revision.  As you inspect the image, look closely at the subtleties how the colours and mapped on the dress. 

The quality improvements is so significant, I have decided to re-release all my original outfits.  So when my store opens, it will have a few outfits, and then I'll increase them over time.

Grand Reopening - October 3rd

Phi Clothing Designs is pleased to announce the Grand Reopening of our latest store on October 3rd.

We will offer 4 outfits styles, 31 colour choices and 248 dress possibilities.

1. Tulip (12 Colours) + 2 Fatpacks

3. Flow (6 Colours)  + 1 Fatpack
4. Lush (6 Colours)  + 1 Fatpack

New prices

As we get closer to the grand re-opening, I want to let you know about some price changes.  In the previous store, I charged $299 for one outfit.

In the new store, you can only buy outfits packs of 8 for L$425.  Fatpacks of 6 outfits will be priced around "buy five get one free".  So a 6-pack will cost L$2000 and up.

The HUD is free, and the dresses are free as well.

This is a significant reduction in prices.  The reason for the cost reduction is to be cost competitive to other stores out there, but also to reflect an optimization in our processes.  We've eliminated much of the labor, and felt we should pass these savings on to our consumers.
